  1. GCC INTRODUCES PORTABLE PRINTER DESIGNED ESPECIALLY FOR MACINTOSH POWERBOOK
  2. WALTHAM, MA (SEPT. 17) PR NEWSWIRE - GCC today introduced the WriteMove(R) II  
  3. the only portable printer designed especially for the Macintosh(R)
  4. PowerBook(R).  Weighing just 2.5 pounds and measuring only 11.7 inches by 3.5
  5. inches by 2.0 inches, this portable QuickDraw(tm) printer fits easily into a
  6. PowerBook carrying case or briefcase.  And with 360 x 360 dpi resolution, the
  7. battery powered WriteMove II produces laser-quality output in virtually any
  8. environment.

  10. GCC has equipped the WriteMove II with Adobe(R) Type I version of Times(R),
  11. Courier Helvetica(R) Helvetica Narrow, Symbol, and Palatino for a total of 21
  12. fonts.  Features such as Adobe Type Manager (ATM(tm)) support for TrueType(tm) 
  13.  and 360x360 dpi resolution were also incorporated to provide laser-quality
  14. output on plain paper, overhead transparencies and envelopes.

  24. option, which saves valuable time, paper and ink by producing an on-screen
  25. document to preview before printing; "Background Printing," which improves
  26. productivity by enabling users to continue to work as a document prints; a
  27. "Print Later" option, which allows documents to be batched for printing at a
  28. later time; and a "Single/Multi-Strike Ribbon" option, which prints economical 
  29. drafts with the multi-strike ribbon, or produces laser-quality output with the 
  30. single-strike ribbon.
